President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov on Monday inspected the ongoing construction works in Ashgabat. The construction of 27 complexes and facilities are presently underway in the Turkmen capital.
Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers Shamuhammet Durdyliyev briefed the Head of State on the projects for the further socio-economic development of Ashgabat, on the facilities currently under construction and presented the relevant architectural drawings.
After the briefing and thorough analysis of the presented projects, the Turkmen Leader made comments and a number of adjustments.
The Head of State then continued his working trip to Ashgabat by helicopter. President Berdimuhamedov examined the construction of a 200-bed sanatorium in the suburban Bagabat town and the road leading to it and emphasized the importance of ensuring the high quality and timely completion of the construction works.
Turkmen President, onboard the helicopter, then inspected the construction works in the northern part of the city and instructed to turn the Gurtly Lake located there into a natural holiday resort with modern recreational conditions.
The Head of State noted that with the creation of the recreational facilities, people will have the opportunity to comfortably spend their holidays near the Lake Gurtly.
Turkmen President then examined the ongoing construction of residential buildings, a shopping center, and a secondary school in Ashgabat’s western district of Buzmeyin.
President of Turkmenistan also examined ongoing construction of road-transport facilities along A. Niyazov Avenue and said the laying of multi-lane roads will ensure safe traffic and favorable conditions for both drivers and pedestrians.
Now the side lanes of road, which are marked with special line, are designated for ambulance and fire service vehicles. This is standard practice in the world and it is necessary that our drivers and pedestrians would comply with this rule. Such works have to be carried out at other streets of the city, the President Berdimuhamedov said.
The Turkmen Leader also inspected the ongoing construction of Garagum, Nusaý and Arkadag hotels, the Türkmenbaşy and Senagat banks.
