Enterprise for the production of sterile dressings in Turkmenistan’s northern velayat of Dashoguz launched the production of dressings with a width of 1 meter and a length of 100 meters, which are in high demand in healthcare industry.
The enterprise, owned by the Türkmendermansenagat Association of the Ministry of Health and the Medical Industry, is successfully fulfilling the production plan for the current year. The enterprise annually produces 13 million packages of high-quality dressings.
Medical gauze - a fabric made of mesh weaving threads. Both the main and weft threads do not adjoin one another closely in gauze. This dressing is used after various injuries or surgery.
Bayrambibi Bayramova, the operator of the enterprise’s weaving workshop, said sterile dressings of various sizes and types produced by the enterprise are very necessary in medicine, adding that “they can bandage all parts of the human body. In medical treatment, much depends on sterility.”
Bayramova also noted that the dressings produced at the enterprise comply with all sanitary standards.
“This requires a very responsible approach by each specialist of the enterprise to their work, compliance with all production rules. The enterprise presently employs about 300 specialists,” she added.
The operator at the enterprise, Dyadebay Mengliev, informed about the features of work in his workshop, particularly he said that they “carry out bleaching and drying, or more precisely, sterilization of dressings coming through the production line.”
The enterprise consists of four departments. The laboratory, equipped with modern machinery, is the center for quality control of all products, where thousands of packs of dressings are individually tested daily. If the product meets a certain quality indicator, it is sent to the finished goods warehouse.
