Ministry of Health and the Medical Industry of Turkmenistan participated in the a video conference meeting of representatives of the WHO Regional Office for Europe with heads of specialized institutions of the Russian Federation and Central Asian countries on Wednesday.
The meeting participants discussed the intensification of cooperation, primarily in joint efforts against the COVID-19 pandemic.
The heads and employees of medical organizations in Russia and Central Asian states participating in the online negotiations expressed their willingness to establish close contacts for the exchange of operational information, accumulated experience and knowledge in the field of prevention and treatment of dangerous infectious diseases.
Turkmen officials had held online negotiations with representatives of the WHO Regional Office for Europe on May 20. The sides had exchanged views on issues of cooperation in the region and the world during the pandemic.
