A military contingent of the Armed Forces of Turkmenistan consisting of 70 troops will participate in a military parade in Moscow on June 24 devoted to the 75th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War, according to the information on the official website of Russia's Ministry of Defense.
Besides Turkmen troops, servicemen from Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, China, Moldova, Mongolia, Serbia, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan have already arrived in Russia to take part in the military parade.
Over 13,000 troops and 234 units of ground-based military equipment, both modern and WWII-era, will be involved in the Victory Day Parade in Moscow’s Red Square.
It is noted that almost all foreign military personnel have already taken part in the general rehearsal of the Victory Day parade on June 15 at a special venue in the village of Alabino near Moscow.
Turkmen troops had previously participated in a military parade in honor of the 65th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War, which was held in 2010 in Moscow.
