Aýdyň Gijeler Economic Society started assembling and testing smart TVs with an integrated IP tuner, Turkmenistan’s Golden Age news outlet reported on Thursday.
The company will present to consumers 32 and 42-inch Tolkun branded TVs and 55-inch Zemin branded TVs featuring LCD panels and 4K Ultra HD resolution. The models will have the necessary interface and network utilities.
The new enterprise is designed to annually assemble 100 thousand televisions, intended for the domestic and foreign markets. The TVs’ assembly is carried out using technology and components of the Xin Hong Bo Trading Limited (China).
The new facility was created on the territory of the former Ashgabat Turkmenkabel plant. The company plans to establish production of TV’s body parts from local raw materials in the workshop for the manufacture of plastic products. The TV production created additional 130 jobs.
