Businesspeople Babaniyaz Emirov and Babamyrat Shaykulowa in Turkmenistan’s Koytendag etrap received preferential loans to grow their livestock business, Turkmenistan newspaper reported on Monday.
The businesspeople used to funds, received from Türkmenbaşy State Commercial Bank’ branch in Garlyk town, to buy livestock. They have long been engaged in breeding Gissar Garakol sheep breeds.
Three-month-old lambs weigh 25-30 kilograms, lambs weigh 75 kilograms and rams weigh 80-90 kilograms, the businesspeople said, adding that the bank's loans to buy livestock have been a big support and that they will make a worthy contribution to the country's livestock production.
In accordance with the Resolution "On State Support of Small and Medium Enterprises" signed by the President of Turkmenistan, banks issue long-term, 5% preferential loans to entrepreneurs, private enterprises, production farms and tenants.
