Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Rashid Meredov held a telephone conversation with Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan Mukhtar Tleuberdi, Turkmen Foreign Ministry said in its press release.
The Foreign Ministers of the two countries discussed a wide range of issues regarding the regional and international agenda, as well as pressing issues of bilateral cooperation in the political-diplomatic, trade-economic, transport and cultural-humanitarian fields. In this context, diplomats emphasized the importance of regular high-level contacts.
Focusing on issues of comprehensive cooperation within the framework of leading regional and international organizations, the diplomats noted the closeness of the positions and interests of Turkmenistan and Kazakhstan on pressing topics of the global agenda. The sides considered intensification of partnerships at international platforms and mutual support of the initiatives of the two countries.
The ministers particularly noted the importance of intensive contacts aimed at expanding and strengthening mutually beneficial cooperation on countering the pandemic.
