A video conference on cooperation in the field of investments was held at the central office of the Oil and Gas Complex of Turkmenistan, the online newspaper of the Complex reported on Friday.
The heads and representatives of the Türkmengaz (Turkmen Gas) and Türkmenhimiýa (Turkmen Chemicals) State Concerns, the State Bank for Foreign Economic Affairs of Turkmenistan, and representatives of the Saudi Arabia-based Somo Al Mamlakah attended the video conference session.
Accoding to the report, the main purpose of the meeting was to develop mutually beneficial partnerships in the capital investment system. The meeting participants exchanged views on topical issues of cooperation in the oil and gas industry and banking.
The participants confirmed the commitment of the parties to maintain and develop mutually beneficial cooperation in all priority areas of mutual interest. The sides also exchanged views on the operation and implementation of projects carried out by the Türkmengaz.
In this regard, the Turkmen side proposed to a foreign company to take part in the construction of the TAPI gas pipeline. In turn, representatives of Somo Al Mamlakah expressed their readiness for long-term investment cooperation.
During the videoconference, representatives of the Türkmenhimiýa, the State Bank for Foreign Economic Affairs of Turkmenistan, and the Somo Al Mamlakah discussed the development of cooperation in relevant areas.
