Merkez Economic Society has been supplying stores in Ashgabat with high quality vegetables for three years, Neytralnyi Turkmenistan newspaper reported on Wednesday.
"From the first days of its activity, the company, like many other agricultural producers, has actively joined in the work of saturating trading stores with vegetables," said Begench Geldimyradov, Head of the Economic Department of the company. “To this end, we have concluded an agreement with the capital's Association of Bazaars”.
“The important steps of Turkmenistan to support entrepreneurs make it possible to meet the population's demand for different types of high quality food products,” Geldimyradov said.
To date, the company has built two greenhouses in Anew, the city nearby Ashgabat. In these greenhouses, the crops are harvested twice a year, according to the report.
Starting next year, the company intends to expand its product range and to harvest more eggplants, sweet peppers and salads.
The company also strives to apply innovative technologies for the timely germination of seeds.
