The Trade Mission of the Russian Federation (RF) in Turkmenistan is actively working to develop the export of medicines, medical equipment and personal protective equipment to Turkmenistan, the press service of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russia said in a Monday press release.
According to the statement, since July 2020, medical products worth over $7.8 million have been exported from Russia to Turkmenistan.
Companies of Russia’s Tatarstan Republic, such as Tatkhimfarmpreparaty, Tattekhmedpharm, and PharmMedPolis RT, are the main exporters in this area. In addition to Tatarstan exporters, Sotex PharmFirm (Moscow) exported $571 thousand worth of medical products and Korporatsiya Roskhimzashchita (Tambov oblast) exported 30,000 sets of personal protective equipment.
In July of this year, the Main Pharmacy Association of the Ministry of Health Care and Medical Industry of Turkmenistan was authorized to conclude contracts with drug manufacturers of the Russian Federation for the purchase of antiviral drugs.
