President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov during a meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers on Friday signed a Resolution On the Procedure for Granting Pastures for Use and Lease, the State News Agency of Turkmenistan (TDH) reports.
According to the report, the main goal of the document is the rational use of pastures, the regulation of relations related to the improvement and protection of pasturelands, and regulation of land relations in the context of protecting the rights of their users and tenants.
In accordance with the Resolution, the hyakims (governors) of the velayats are instructed to exercise control over the the completeness and timeliness of payments for the use of pastures.
The Ministry of Agriculture and Environmental Protection, the Ministry of Finance and Economy are instructed to prepare proposals for amending the legislation of Turkmenistan arising from this Resolution within two months, together with the Ministry of Justice, and submit them to the Cabinet of Ministers.
