Turkmenistan’s Barcode Organization Attends GS1 Europe Regional Forum
The forum attendees will discuss GS1's assistance in promoting the widespread use of the Global Trade Item Number (GTIN) for product identification.

The opening ceremony of the GS1 Europe Regional Forum took place on Tuesday. The event is held online this year.

According to a press release issued by GS1 Turkmenistan, more than 400 GS1 members from the European region are taking part in the meeting to discuss current and future projects. The Head of GS1 Turkmenistan Aykamar Malikguliyeva represented Turkmenistan in the meeting.

On the first day of the forum, the participants of the event took part in the GO Marketing Workshop.

During the three-day forum, interactive activities will be organized, including sessions, seminars and trainings. It is also planned to conduct a training seminar titled "Keep track of the money", which will provide an opportunity to get acquainted with GS1 standards for cash transactions.

The forum attendees will also discuss GS1's assistance in promoting the widespread use of the Global Trade Item Number (GTIN) for product identification.

The forum will run until October 23.

GS1 is an international non-profit organization that develops and maintains global standards for business communication. GS1 standards are designed to improve the efficiency, safety and visibility of supply chains across physical and digital channels.
