President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov on occasion of 25th anniversary of the country's permanent neutrality signed decrees on pardoning 2078 Turkmen citizens and 4 foreign citizens serving their sentence in jail.
According to TDH news agency's report, the Decree was signed during a pre-holiday meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers in the capital's Ruhiyet Palace on Friday.
Turkmen President instructed Vice-Premier, Secretary of the State Security Council Charymyrat Amanov and the heads of law enforcement agencies to take relevant measures so that all those pardoned are released from prison and reunited with their families.
In this regard, the Head of State instructed the hyakims (governors) of velayats, etraps and cities, and other leaders, to take measures to provide pardoned citizens with employment. Turkmen Leader also wished the pardoned citizens to work conscientiously, provide for their families, and live rejoicing in the fruits of their labor.
