Seydi Oil Refinery (SOR) in the Lebap velayat of Turkmenistan has processed around 441.2 thousand tons of oil over the past eleven months.
According to the Türkmen gündogary newspaper’s Saturday issue, the refinery produced over 224.8 thousand tons of gasoline during the period, which is 114.8% more than compared to the same period last year.
The Seydi refinery also produced around 124.2 thousand tons of diesel fuel and about 29.9 thousand tons of road bitumen during the period.
In May 2017, a catalytic reforming unit was launched at the SOR with the participation of U.S. and U.A.E. companies.
Through the direct processing of distillated gasoline, the company produces light gasoline and liquefied gas used in food production. New York-based company Westport Trading Europe Limited with the participation of Turkmen specialists carried out the project.
In 2015, a plant for the production of road bitumen with an annual capacity of 37.2 thousand tons was commissioned at the Seydi Oil Refinery.
