Foreign Businesses Buy Turkmen Licorice Roots, Oil Products
Foreign businesses purchased colorless sheet glass, dried roots and rhizomes of licorice, and cotton yarn for foreign currency.

The total amount of transactions concluded in foreign currency at the auctions of the State Commodity and Raw Materials Exchange of Turkmenistan over the past week exceeded $33.494 million, TDH news agency reported on Sunday.

For foreign currency, businesses based in the UAE and Cyprus purchased aviation kerosene and gasoline produced at the Turkmenbashi Complex of Oil Refineries.

Companies based in Switzerland and Afghanistan bought heavy vacuum gas oil produced at the Seydi Oil Refinery, and businesses form the UK purchased urea produced by Türkmenhimiýa (Turkmen Chemicals) State Concern.

In addition, businesses from Russia, the UAE, Turkey, Pakistan, Azerbaijan, Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan purchased colorless sheet glass, dried roots and rhizomes of licorice, and cotton yarn for foreign currency.

Businesses from the U.K, the UAE, Turkey, Pakistan, Kazakhstan and Armenia purchased cotton yarn, raw fatty acids of cotton soap stock, cotton linter for over 31.265 million manats.

For the domestic market, local businesses purchased polypropylene bags and cotton fiber for over 965 thousand manats.

State Commodity and Raw Materials Exchange of Turkmenistan registered a total of 59 transactions last week.
