Turkmenistan Intends to Privatize 33 State Facilities
This process will serve to diversify the national economy and increase its competitiveness.

Proposals for the privatization of 33 state property facilities via auctions were prepared in Turkmenistan, the Vice-Premier Gadyrgeldi Mushshikov noted in his report to President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov during a government meeting on Friday.

The Vice-Premier informed in his report that the proposals were prepared by the Ministry of Finance and Economy in cooperation with ministries, sectoral departments, hyakimliks (administrations) of the velayats and the city of Ashgabat, the country's official media reports.

Following the report, the Head of State noted the importance of accelerating the privatization process and further improving the relevant privatization mechanisms in the country, adding that this will help to realize the solid potential of the private sector in the manufacturing and service sectors. This process will serve to diversify the national economy and increase its competitiveness, the Turkmen Leader noted.

During the meeting, the Turkmen President also signed a Resolution approving the Plan of works and activities for execution in the sectors of the economy in 2021.
