The total amount of transactions concluded in foreign currency at the auctions of the State Commodity and Raw Materials Exchange of Turkmenistan over the past week exceeded $110.672 million.
For foreign currency, businesses based in Russia, the UAE and Afghanistan purchased polypropylene and low-sulfur fuel oil produced at the Turkmenbashi Complex of Oil Refineries (TCOR), and business circles from the UAE, the UK, Afghanistan and Singapore bought ECO-93 gasoline, liquefied gas and technical sulfur produced by the Türkmengaz (Turkmen Gas) State Concern, the country’s official media reported on Sunday.
In addition, businesses from Russia, China, Azerbaijan and Kyrgyzstan purchased cotton yarn and plain dyed and jacquard terry products for foreign currency.
Businesses from the UAE, Turkey and Pakistan purchased cotton yarn, licorice root extract and other medical supplies for over 65.764 million manats.
For the domestic market, local businesses purchased the TCOR’s co-extruded polypropylene film for over 16 million manats.
State Commodity and Raw Materials Exchange of Turkmenistan registered a total of 66 transactions last week.
