Turkmenistan Implements Measures to Strengthen Its Cybersecurity
The Head of State addressed relevant instructions to the Vice-Premier, Secretary of the State Security Council Charymyrat Amanov.

President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov on Tuesday inspected the works carried out at the Center for Digital Systems in Ashgabat, the country’s state news agency reports.

During his visit, the Head of State stressed the importance of the activities of the State Cyber Security Service of the Türkmenaragatnaşyk (Turkmen Communiations) Agency and focused on its main tasks.

The Turkmen President said its main task is to implement the cybersecurity policy in the country, implement centralized control and coordinate the work of cybersecurity groups.

Having outlined   a number of tasks in this area, the Head of State addressed relevant instructions to the Vice-Premier, Secretary of the State Security Council Charymyrat Amanov.

In accordance with the Regulation on the State Cybersecurity Commission, approved by the Resolution of the Turkmen President, the country takes systemic measures to address the tasks arising from the State Cybersecurity Program and the Plan for its implementation for 2017-2021.
