President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov during an online meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers on Friday instructed the Vice-Premier Gadyrgeldy Mushshikov to intensify the pace of works in the financial-economic complex, the country’s official media reports.
Following the report of the Vice-Premier Mushshikov on the results of the complex’s actitivities during the first two months of this year, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov stressed the need to increase the pace of works carried out in the ministries and departments of the financial-economic complex.
Although recently issues related to the sectors of the economy were thoroughly considered and measures required for their solution were outlined, the Head of State continued, most of those measures are still not implemented.
The Turkmen President also noted that since the beginning of this year, the funds allocated for these purposes have not been used, and pointed out to the slow pace of digitalization, privatization of facilities and transformation of enterprises into joint-stock companies, and formation of a securities market.
It is necessary to analyze the state of the global economy and the situation in neighboring countries, President Berdimuhamedov said, adding that based on this analysis, it is necessary to adjust the indicators for the current year and to prepare the forecasts.
The Head of State also noted the importance of accelerating the process of introducing the digital system into state organizations and digitizing state services.
