President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov on Friday at a meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers noted that this year the National Spring Holiday – International Novruz Day – falls on Sunday and in this regard signed a Decree to postpone the day off on March 21 to Tuesday, March 23.
Due to the long days off, the Turkmen President instructed government officials to organize round-the-clock shifts in all velayat hyakimliks (administrations), at enterprises and organizations. Such instructions were also given to law enforcement agencies of Turkmenistan, the country’s official media reports.
At the end of the government meeting, the Head of State congratulated the participants of the meeting and the Turkmen people on the National Spring Holiday – International Novruz Day.
The President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov concluded his congratulations saying, “Let the sweet melodies and inspiration of the Nowruz holiday sound an ode glorifying the high achievements of our Motherland, the happy, peaceful and prosperous life of our dear people!”
