The total amount of transactions concluded in foreign currency at the auctions of the State Commodity and Raw Materials Exchange of Turkmenistan over the past week exceeded $11.485 million.
For foreign currency, Swiss businesses purchased gasoline produced at the Turkmenbashi Complex of Oil Refineries, while Turkey-based companies bought polyethylene produced by the Türkmengaz (Turkmen Gas) State Concern, the country’s official media reported on Saturday.
Companies based in the UAE and Kyrgyzstan also purchased various types of terry products.
The UAE-based companies also purchased cotton yarn for over 665 thousand manats.
For the domestic market, local businesses purchased cotton fiber for 75.082 million manats.
