The opening ceremony of the Center of International Association of Ahal-Teke Horse Breeding and the Türkmen Alabaý Itleri (Turkmen Alabai Dogs) International Association took place in Turkmenistan’s capital of Ashgabat on Wednesday, the country’s official media reports.

Serdar Berdimuhamedov, the Vice-Premier of Turkmenistan and President of the International Association of Ahal-Teke Horse Breeding and the Türkmen Alabaý Itleri International Association, participated in the opening ceremony of the new building.

The solemn ceremony was also attended by the Chairman of the Mejlis chamber of Milli Geňeş of Turkmenistan, the Deputy Chairman of Halk Maslahaty chamber, government officials, heads of public organizations and mass media, according to the report.

The first floor of the building includes a museum featuring original sculptural and pictorial images of Ahal-Teke horses and Turkmen Alabai dogs, and thematic carpet canvases.

A meeting of the Türkmen Alabaý Itleri International Association was also held within the framework of the opening ceremony. During the meeting, the President of the Association Serdar Berdimuhamedov signed the resolutions on the establishment of the medal titled “Ýylyň Türkmen Edermen Alabaýy", on the admission of new members to the Association, and on holding the next meeting of the Association in the first half of 2022 in Ashgabat.

In a short span of time, the number of members of the Türkmen Alabaý Itleri International Association has significantly increased, to which foreign dog breeders have also joined. More than 190 individuals and legal entities from 11 countries are member to the Association.
