Turkmenistan Pardons 1035 Prisoners, Including 53 Foreign Citizens
Turkmenistan pardons prisoners on occasion of the Night of Qadr.

President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov on Friday signed a Decree on pardoning 982 Turkmen prisoners and 53 prisoners of foreign citizenship on occasion of the Night of Qadr.

Addressing the Vice-Premier, Secretary of the State Security Council Chary Amanov, the Head of State instructed, together with the heads of law enforcement agencies, to take appropriate measures for the rapid release of prisoners and their speedy return to home, the official media of Turkmenistan reports.

The Turkmen Leader also instructed the hyakims (governmors) of velayats, etraps and cities, and other officials to take measures to provide pardoned citizens with employment.

President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov also wished the pardoned citizens to work conscientiously, contribute to the large-scale works carried out in the country, serve Turkmenistan with all their heart and live with honest labor.
