Turkmen President Instructs to Strengthen Protective Measures Amid Hot Weather
The Head of State instructed to ensure energy savings on street lighting and advertising stands.

President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov on Wednesday during a meeting of the State Security Council and a working meeting with the hyakims (governors) of the capital and velayats of the country instructed, due to the onset of hot weather, to take additional preventive measures, the country’s official media reports.

Noting the significant increase in the use of air conditioners and cooling devices in the country, and as a result, rising power consumption, the Head of State instructed to ensure energy savings on street lighting and advertising stands.

President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov emphasized the need to take comprehensive steps to comply with the fire security regime and instructed to regularly conduct explanatory events on the rules of fire safety.

The Head of State also noted that with the onset of the summer season, the air temperature rises, and this in turn has a negative impact on human health. In this regard, President Berdimuhamedov instructed to conduct explanatory activities to the personnel of the country's law enforcement agencies.
