Member businesses of the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of Turkmenistan (UIET) and the Kyrgyz Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs (KUIE) in an online ceremony signed contracts in the amount of more than $28.575 million for the supply of Turkmen products to Kyrgyzstan.
The signing of the documents took place on the sidelines of the Turkmen-Kyrgyz Economic Forum held in Ashgabat with the participation of the President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Japarov, the UIET reports.
A high-ranking delegation of Kyrgyzstan headed by President Sadyr Japarov took part in the Turkmen-Kyrgyz Economic Forum. Before the forum, the delegation visited an exhibition of export products of Turkmenistan featuring products of public sector enterprises and UIET member businesses.
The Turkmen side in the forum included high-ranking government officials and the UIET members.
Within the framework of the forum member businesses of the UIET and the KUIE signed bilateral documents, including 13 contracts for the supply of sanitary products, pipe products, tomatoes, confectionery, and protocols of intent for the supply of footwear, food products to Kyrgyzstan for over $28.575 million.
At the forum, the UIET presented its activities in the agricultural sector, including the production of vegetables and fruits, the processing of crops and livestock products, in the development of the domestic food industry and the production of consumer goods, including household appliances and electronics.
