Turkmenistan, Kazakhstan Expected to Sign Package of Documents

The main package of documents scheduled to be signed during President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev’s official visit to Ashgabat in the near future have already been drafted. They are expected to give an impetus to the further strengthening of cooperation between Kazakhstan and Turkmenistan, Kazakh President noted during a meeting with the Head of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedow in the Avaza National Tourist Zone on Friday.

The meeting took place within the framework of the third Consultative Meeting of the Heads of State of Central Asia, organized in the Avaza NTZ in Turkmenistan’s western velayat of Balkan.

Having considered a wide range of issues on the bilateral agenda, the Presidents noted with satisfaction the high level of relations between Kazakhstan and Turkmenistan, the press service of the Kazakh President said in a statement.

The parties expressed their intention to give positive dynamics to trade and economic cooperation, increase the range of traded goods, make greater use of transit and transport potential, as well as strengthen ties in the cultural and humanitarian sphere.

On the same day, Turkmen President also held bilateral talks with other Leaders of Central Asian States.
