The construction of the Tashkent culture and recreation park, dedicated to the friendship between Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan, has kicked off along Magtymguly Avenue in Turkmen capital of Ashgabat. Zehinli Iş Economic Society, a member of the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs (UIET), is the designer and the construction contractor of the park.
The territory of the Güneş Park was chosen as the site for the construction of the new facility. The new park, covering about 30 thousand square meters, will feature a landscape garden with lush greenery of plants, flower beds and paths, and more than twenty building that imitate the sights of the Uzbek capital, the UIET said on Sunday.
The main alley, starting at the central arch, will include main fountain, and the end of the alley will feature a platform for cultural events with a stage. These facilities will be decorated with glazed multi-colored ceramic tiles with Uzbek ornaments and patterns.
A two-story teahouse, which will be able to simultaneously accommodate up to 100 visitors, will be also built on the territory of the park.
In addition to the walking trails, the park will also have a play area. The area will consist of children's playground for toddlers, attractions and a Ferris wheel.
The Toý Mekany building for the holding of mass celebrations such as weddings, on the territory of the former Güneş Park, will also be renovated.
In 2018, as a sign of friendship and brotherhood between people of Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan, the Ashgabat park was opened in Tashkent.
