Export Trades at Turkmen State Exchange Exceed $3.2 Million
Foreign companies purchased cotton yarn and float sheet glass for foreign currency.

The total amount of transactions concluded in foreign currency at the auctions of the State Commodity and Raw Materials Exchange of Turkmenistan over the past week exceeded $3.2 million.

For foreign currency, companies based in Turkey, Azerbaijan and Kyrgyzstan purchased cotton yarn and float sheet glass, the country’s official media reports.

Business circles of the UK, UAE and Kazakhstan bought cotton yarn for over 46.4 million manats through auction trades.

For the domestic market, local businesses purchased waste petroleum coke produced at the Turkmenbashi Complex of Oil Refineries, high density polyethylene and polypropylene of Turkmen Chemicals State Concern, and handmade carpets. The total amount of transactions exceeded 424.8 million manats.

Turkmen businesses also purchased Portland cement for $122 thousand for the domestic markt.

The State Commodity and Raw Materials Exchange of Turkmenistan registered 291 transactions last week.
