Turkmen Charitable Fund to Fund Medical Operations of 40 Children
The Center for the Protection of Mother and Child Health in Lebap velayat has already carried out five operations for sick children.

Four dozen children will undergo medical operations in the medical institutions of Turkmenistan’s eastern velayat of Lebap at the expense of funds allocated from the Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov Charitable Fund, the country’s official media reported on Wednesday.

More complex medical operations will be carried out in international medical centers in Ashgabat. Most of the planned operations will be performed on the joints of the extremities, and for the treatment of ENT and dental diseases, according to the report.

The Center for the Protection of Mother and Child Health in Lebap velayat has already carried out five operations for sick children.

Three out of five children are being brought up in the velayat’s children's rehabilitation center, and two others are being brought up in a local orphanage.

Charitable Fund for Assistance to Children in Need of Guardianship was established with the Presidential Resolution on March 29 of this year in order to provide social support to the younger generation, to help restore the health of children in need of guardianship and to ensure favorable conditions for their happy life.

In early August, the Turkmen Leader made a decision to allocate funds from the Charitable Fund to carry out medical operations to children in need of guardianship in the medical institutions of the capital and velayats of the country.
