Turkmen Company to Build 5,300-8,100-Ton Deadweight Dry Cargo Ship
The construction of the ship will provide an opportunity for domestic specialists to study foreign production experience in this area.

The Turkmen cargo transportation company Hazar Logistik will build a dry cargo vessel with a deadweight tonnage of 5,300-8,100 at the Balkan shipyard in western Turkmenistan.

The Director General of the Agency for Transport and Communications Mammethan Chakiyev during a cabinet meeting on Friday briefed President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov on the relevant activities, the country’s official media reports.

Chakiyev said the construction of the ship will result in creation of new jobs and provide an opportunity for domestic specialists to study foreign production experience in this area.

Following the report, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov said this novel production for the country has become the basis for the development of domestic shipbuilding.

The Head of State also highlighted the necessity to analyze and implement necessary measures to effectively use the capabilities of the plant, to carefully study and apply best world experience, and instructed the Director of the Agency to study the issue of establishing production of different vessels in the plant.

Hazar Logistik Individual Enterprise, the member of the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of Turkmenistan, is engaged in international cargo transportation.
