Austria Expresses Readiness to Expand Cooperation With Turkmen Businesses
The talks between government agencies and business circles of Turkmenistan and Austria featured discussions for the implementation of joint projects.

The Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Turkmenistan hosted bilateral meetings between the leaders and representatives of numerous government agencies and business circles of Turkmenistan and Austria. During the meetings, Austrian representatives expressed their readiness to expand cooperation with Turkmen private sector.

The Chairman of the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of Turkmenistan (UIET) Dovran Hudayberdiyev held talks with Vice-President of the Austrian Federal Economic Chamber Richard Schenz, General Director of the consulting company Europe Consult GmbH Peter Gindl, Regional Sales Director of Waagner Biro Bridge Systems Oswald Hutter and the head of the Austrian-Turkmen Society Neda Berger, the UIET said in its press release.

Noting the dynamics of the developing dialogue between the business circles of the two countries, Hudayberdiyev informed about the current economic indicators of the UIET, the export potential of Turkmen businesses and their expanding opportunities in the development of various sectors of the national economy.

In turn, expressing their readiness to expand cooperation with Turkmen entrepreneurs, the Austrian representatives presented certain areas of the companies' activities, including in the field of IT technologies, in the implementation of infrastructure transport projects, and the supply of high-tech equipment.

The talks also featured discussions for the implementation of joint projects. The sides identified transport and logistics, construction and infrastructure, industrial and agricultural technologies, and food industry among the promising areas of partnership.

The parties spoke in favor of intensifying trade and economic cooperation between business representatives of the two countries.

The event was organized within the framework of the visit of the Federal Minister for European and International Affairs of Austria Michael Linhart to Ashgabat. The delegation of the Austrian business included representatives of the country’s leading companies specializing in various fields, and the Federal Economic Chamber.
