Rönesans May Participate in Construction of New Turkmen Power Plants

President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov within the framework of the opening ceremony of Garagum hotel in Ashgabat on Friday held a working meeting with Deputy Chairman of Turkmen Government Chary Purchekov, overseeing the industrial and construction complex, and Head of the Turkish company Rönesans Holding Erman Ilıcak. The talks focused on the construction of new power plants in the country and the implementation of joint activities in this direction.

Erman Ilıcak said it is an honor for Rönesans Holding to be a business partner of Turkmenistan with a favorable investment climate and vas opportunities for productive work, the official Turkmen media reports.

Reporting to the President of Turkmenistan on the activities of the Turkish company in the country, Ilıcak stressed Rönesans’s readiness to implement projects for the further development and modernization of the Turkmen electricity sector. He also reaffirmed Rönesans Holding's interest in continuing mutually beneficial long-term cooperation with the country.

In turn, the Turkmen Leader said the country is always open for fruitful cooperation with foreign partners, including representatives of Turkish business circles.

Rönesans Holding, together with Japanese companies, participated in projects to build the Marykarbamid fertilizer production plant in Mary province, a plant for production of gasoline from natural gas in Ahal province and the power plant in the Charjev of Lebap province, with no analogues in the region.

The Head of State also held a separate meeting Deputy Chairman of the Government Esenmyrat Orazgeldiyev, overseeing the country’s agricultural complex, and Erman Ilıcak to discuss the participation of Turkish companies in solving the tasks on application of water saving technologies in Turkmenistan, increasing crop yields and efficient use of advanced scientific achievements in construction of desalination plants.
