Amount of Cashless Transactions in Turkmenistan Exceeds 9.12 Billion Manats
The amount of payments made in the period from January to November 2021 through the Mobile Bank system exceeded 7.3 million manats.

The total amount of non-cash transactions via bank cards in Turkmenistan from January to November 2021 exceeded 9.12 billion manats. According to the Central Bank's Banking Automation Department, the total volume of non-cash payments made through terminals during the period neared 8.6 billion manats.

According to the Central Bank of Turkmenistan, the number of payments made in the period from January to November 2021 through the Digital Commerce system exceeded 365.78 million manats, and 7.3 million manats through the Mobile Bank system.

At the same time, the total amount of non-cash payments made through ATMs amounted to 176.7 million manats and 776 thousand 633 manat through the Internet Bank system.

In addition, according to the bank, 16.7 million manats of non-cash payments were carried out through the Halkbank Terminal system.

As of November 1, 2021, the total amount of deposits of citizens of Turkmenistan in credit institutions amounted to 3.28 billion manats, which is 5.35% more compared to same period of 2020. In November 2020, this figure was more than 3.1 billion manats.

In April this year, new headquarters of the Türkmenbaşy and the Senagat banks opened in Ashgabat.
