President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov within the framework of his working visit to Balkan velayat on Thursday inspected the activities at the Uzynada hydrocarbon field. At the site, President Berdimuhamedov held a meeting on the further development of the oil and gas sector, the utilization of the country's resource potential and its efficient use.
The meeting was attended by the Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet Shahym Abdrakhmanov, overseeing the country's oil and gas industry, the Chairman of Türkmennebit (Turkmen Oil) State Concern, the Chairman of Türkmengeologiýa (Turkmen Geology) State Corporation, the Director of the Nebitgazylmytaslama Institute of Türkmennebit and Governor of Balkan Velayat.
Abdrakhmanov in his report stated that according to the results of studies of the Uzynada field conducted by Turkmen specialists, the volume of oil deposits varies within 5 million tons. He also acquainted with the varieties of oil extracted from the Uzynada and Cheleken fields. In his report, the Vice-Premier described in detail the uniqueness and properties of the extracted oil, the country’s official media reports.
After studying the oil products, the Turkmen Leader said the scientific study of oil raw materials and the industrial development of deposits should be carried out using new methods of modern science.
In accordance with the results of exploration work at the Demirgazyk Goturdepe (Northern Goturdepe) field, as well as in order to ensure the uninterrupted operation of wells, the number of which is increasing, it becomes necessary to build a gas compressor station in this place, the Head of State said.
The heads of Nebitgazylmytaslama Institute, Türkmennebit SC, Türkmengeologiýa State Corporation and Governor of Balkan velayat briefed the Turkmen President on the ongoing works at their spheres.
