Turkmen Exports to Uzbekistan Up Nearly 60% in 2021
Overall trade turnover between Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan amounted to $881.9 million in 2021.

Turkmenistan’s exports to Uzbekistan in 2021 surpassed $690.6 million, a 59.7% increase compared to a year before, according to the report of State Statistics Committee of Uzbekistan published on Thursday.

In 2020, Turkmenistan exported $412.1 million worth of products to Uzbekistan.

Overall trade turnover between Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan amounted to $881.9 million, which is 61% more compared to 2020. Turkmenistan is presently the seventh largest trading partner of Uzbekistan.

Turkmenistan’s imports from Uzbekistan last year reached $191.3 million, a 65.9% increase compared to 2020.

Uzbekistan's overall foreign trade turnover in 2021 reached $42.1 billion, an increase of more than $5.8 billion, or 16%, compared to 2020, according to the country’s statistics agency.

Other main partners of Uzbekistan by trade turnover in 2021 are Russia (more than $7.5 billion), China (more than $7.4 billion), Kazakhstan (over $3.9 billion), Turkey (over nearly $3.4 billion), Korea (nearly $1.9 billion), Kyrgyzstan ($952.6 million), Germany ($762.7 million), Ukraine ($704 million) and Afghanistan ($655.6 million).

In 2020, trade turnover between Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan amounted to $538.2 million.

2022
