Turkmenistan is working on creating a News Center on Sports and Youth Policy to promote its achievements in the world of sports.
Sapardurdy Toyliyev, the Deputy Chairman of the Government of Turkmenistan on science, education, healthcare and sports issues, reported to President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov on the activities to create the center during the online cabinet meeting on Friday.
The meeting was attended by the deputy chairmen of the Cabinet, the Chairman of the Mejlis of Milli Gengesh and the Deputy Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Milli Gengesh.
According to the Vice-Premier, the center will be created as part of the ongoing transfer of print media to digital format and to a digital system in order with a view to expanding Turkmenistan's presence in the information and news area of the internet, development of websites and other web resources as well as improving the activity of newspapers and magazines.
Following the report, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov said the active introduction of innovative technologies directly contributes to the successful solution of important issues and coverage of the great achievements of Turkmenistan in the world. The Head of State addressed specific instructions to the Toyliyev on the creation of the New Center on Sports and Youth Policy.
The online cabinet meeting also considered other topical issues of the socio-economic development of Turkmenistan.
