President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov during the online cabinet meeting on Thursday signed the Decree on the establishment of the State Agency for Management of Road Construction.
In accordance with the signed document, the new agency is determined as the legal successor of the Türkmenawtoýollary (Turkmen Motor Roads) State Concern, which was incorporated to the Ministry of Construction and Architecture of Turkmenistan two years ago.
During the online cabinet meeting last Friday, the Turkmen President gave instructions to the government regarding the creation of the new state entity to manage road construction, which will function in accordance with the requirements of the market economy.
“In accordance with the Constitution, we are developing our economy in the direction of market relations. And all of our long-term plans for the development of the State are also focused on this,” President Berdimuhamedov said back then, adding that the statute of this agency should include the rules affecting market relations.
The Head of State also signed the Decree regulating the organizational issues of the new agency.
The cabinet meeting summed up the results of the work of the sectors of the national economy for January of this year, considered drafts of a number of documents and current state of affairs.
