Turkmen President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov in a phone talk on Thursday with Executive Director of the Turkmenistan-US Business Council Eric Stewart stressed that Turkmenistan supports the interest of US business circles in strengthening their position in the Turkmen market and confirmed its readiness for mutually beneficial cooperation.
The sides discussed the current state and future plans for development of cooperation, as well as promising joint projects in priority areas, the official media of Turkmenistan reports.
The Turkmen Leader said there are great opportunities for mutually beneficial cooperation in the oil and gas, renewable energy, chemical and food industries, transport and the environment.
In this regard, the sides stressed the usefulness of continuing the practice of holding regular business meetings, forums and exhibitions organized by the business council to facilitate the establishment of productive contacts between government and private entities of both countries.
President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov said Turkmenistan is always ready to consider new proposals to further expand bilateral cooperation.
The Turkmenistan-US Business Council was established on the initiative of President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov in 2008 to promote the development of the Turkmen-US trade-economic cooperation.
