Turkmen President Receives Congratulations From France’s Macron, UK’s Johnson
The heads of France and the UK wished the Turkmen President Serdar Berdimuhamedov success in his activities for the benefit of the country and its people.

The President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov received congratulatory letters from the President of France Emmanuel Macron and the Prime Minister of the UK Boris Johnson. The letters published by the official media of Turkmenistan on Wednesday. 

In the letters, the leaders of France and the UK congratulate the Serdar Berdimuhamedov on his election and inauguration as the Turkmen President.

Macron said France and Turkmenistan have significantly strengthened bilateral ties since the establishment of diplomatic relations on March 6, 1992.

“Over these thirty years, Turkmenistan has established cooperation with French companies in the field of architecture and construction, Earth observation in space, industry and technology,” Marcon said.

The French President expressed his readiness to continue and expand partnership between the two countries, including in new areas, to jointly address global issues of climate, health and security.

In his message to the Head of Turkmenistan, the UK’s Boris Johnson stated, “I express confidence that in the coming years we will continue our active and fruitful cooperation between our countries.”

He called the bilateral cooperation in transition of Turkmenistan to green energy sources very promising.

“I am confident that our joint efforts to address climate change will identify new areas that will give impetus to our mutual trade relations,” Johnson wrote in his letter.
