Orazmyrat Gurbannazarov has been relieved from the post of Minister of Trade and Foreign Economic Relations of Turkmenistan for health reasons, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov signed a decree to this end on Tuesday.
Temporary performance of the duties of the head of Ministry was entrusted by a presidential decree to the Deputy Minister of Trade and Foreign Economic Relations Begench Gochmollayev.
The presidential decrees were announced during the country’s Watan Habarlary news program on Tuesday.
The Ministry of Trade and Foreign Economic Relations of Turkmenistan is a structure carrying out state policy in the field of trade, foreign economic relations, as well as consumer cooperation. In accordance with its tasks, the Ministry is working to saturate the domestic market with goods, improve the organization of trade and catering, logistics for the national economy, ensure the observance of state interests in the foreign market in accordance with international treaties.
The ministry includes 107 bazaars and over 2.6 thousand sales outlets, more than 40 restaurants, over 400 cafes, and more than 1.2 thousand school canteens. The Ministry also operates numerous trading houses in several states.
