Turkmenistan is developing a national brand (label) "Made in Turkmenistan".
Chary Gylyjov, Deputy Chairman of the Turkmen Government, overseeing the country’s trade and textile complex, reported on measures to develop the brand during the online cabinet meeting hosted by President Serdar Berdimuhamedov on Friday.
According to the Vice-Premier, the competitive and quality products produced by modern Turkmen enterprises are becoming increasingly popular in the domestic and foreign markets.
He said Turkmenistan is known in the international community as a country with great potential in the production of high quality goods and services under the brand "Made in Turkmenistan", which has a positive impact on increasing the prestige of the country in the world market, expanding export potential and attracting investments.
The Chamber of Commerce and Industry with the participation of relevant ministries and sectoral agencies is working to announce a contest among artists, designers, students and citizens to choose a national brand "Made in Turkmenistan".
To this end, Chary Gylyjov presented to the Head of State the relevant proposals for further organization of the necessary preparatory work.
Following the report, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov approved the development of the national brand "Made in Turkmenistan". The Head of State emphasized the need to search for new formats and approaches, noting that the Turkmen designers should focus on studying the best practices in this area in accordance with international standards, including the use of digital systems.
In this regard, the Turkmen President stressed the need to improve the ongoing work to create conditions for the active promotion and implementation of the plans, and addressed a number of specific instructions to the Vice-Premier.
