Regulation on licensing of transport and forwarding activities was drafted in Turkmenistan, Mammethan Chakiyev, the General Director of the Agency for Transport and Communications under the Turkmen Cabinet of Ministers, reported during the online cabinet meeting hosted by President Serdar Berdimuhamedov.
As a result of comprehensive work aimed at protecting rights and legal interests of the state, individuals and legal entities in the organization of cargo transportation by road, air and sea, a package of documents and a relevant proposal were drafted, according to Chakiyev’s briefing.
The Regulation was developed in accordance with the Law of Turkmenistan on Licensing Certain Types of Activities and the Presidential Decree on improving the Organization of Licensing Activities in Turkmenistan.
Following the report, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov emphasized the importance of improving the licensing process in the transport sector, which is justified by the need to develop all-round economic relations in today's conditions.
The Head of State stressed that consistent steps must be taken to enhance the efficiency of transport structures through the widespread introduction of advanced technologies.
Having approved the proposals, the Turkmen President instructed the Head of the Agency to control the work carried out in this direction.
