Turkmenistan’s capital Ashgabat will host on June 23 the international scientific conference on reducing environmental emissions from production of hydrocarbons and possible solutions for the Darvaza gas crater.
The event is organized by the Türkmengaz (Turkmen Gas) and Türkmennebit (Turkmen Oil) state concerns, in partnership with the Turkmen Forum and the UK-based GaffneyCline.
According to the announcement on the organizers website, the international scientific conference aims to bring together leading experts, researchers and specialists in energy sector to exchange experience and research on all aspects of emission reduction and green energy technologies.
The forum will discuss issues such as innovative technologies and know-how in hydrocarbon production and associated gas emission reduction, new-era energy projects, possible solutions for the Darvaza gas crater, international experience and initiatives, existing technical support areas and new environmental/climate change funding opportunities available for the energy sector of Turkmenistan.
The conference is expected to be attended by the heads of the oil-gas complex of Turkmenistan, representatives of Turkmen state institutions, leading international organizations and financial institutions.
The event will be held in both traditional and online formats.
