The visit of Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, the Chairman of Halk Maslakhaty chamber of Turkmen bicameral parliament Milli Gengesh, to the multi-purpose hospital in the administrative center of Lebap province.

Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, the Chairman of Halk Maslakhaty chamber of Turkmen bicameral parliament Milli Gengesh, on Thursday on behalf of the Head of State made a working visit to the country’s eastern province of Lebap.

In the course of the visit, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov toured the multi-purpose hospital in the administrative center of the province and inspected the condition of children undergoing treatment at the cardiology department. The Halk Maslakhaty Chairman in his conversation with the parents inquired about the quality of medical care and the results of treatment, the country’s official media reports.

Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov also visited Turkmen State Pedagogical Institute named after Seyitnazar Seydi and met with teachers and students of the institute. The meeting saw the exchange of views on further improvement of the youth policy of Turkmenistan, ways of development and teaching the educational process, implementation of the digital system and training of high-level specialists for the national education system. In the course of the meeting, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov stated the relevance of constructing a new building at the institute.

Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov also visited markets and discussed with buyers and sellers the issues of ensuring an abundance of goods at affordable prices.

The Halk Maslakhaty Chairman then visited the Turkmenabat-Farap road bridge over the Amudarya River. At the site, he discussed the issues of water supply to agricultural lands with the Governor of Lebap province. Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov stated the importance of using the latest technologies in the use of large water pipelines, reservoirs and lakes, keep full records of the amount of water consumed, and transfer these works to digital systems.
