Ashgabat and Prague expressed their readiness to consider proposals on exchange of experience in hydrogen energy.
This matter was discussed during the online meeting of representatives of the trade and economic sector of Turkmenistan and the Czech Republic on Thursday, the Turkmen Foreign Ministry said in its press release.
The meeting participants considered topical issues of trade-economic cooperation between the two countries, particularly the potential opportunities in the field of hydrogen energy, development of the contractual and legal framework of the economic bloc, strengthening ties between the business communities and the Chambers of Commerce of the two countries.
Given that Turkmenistan is implementing the Roadmap for international cooperation in the hydrogen energy and the Czech Republic is implementing the Hydrogen Strategy, the sides expressed readiness to consider corresponding proposals on exchange of experience and participation in events in this sector.
The parties also expressed interest in speeding up consideration of drafts of the Agreement on mutual encouragement and protection of investments and Memorandum of Understanding on exchange of financial information related to combating money laundering and terrorism financing.
Turkmenistan adopted the Roadmap for international cooperation in the hydrogen energy for 2022-2023 in January this year.
