Kyrgyz, Indian Businesses Procure Cotton Yarn Through Turkmen Commodity Exchange
The Kyrgyz business purchased 40 thousand kg of cotton yarn produced at the enterprise of the Ministry of Textile Industry of Turkmenistan.

The businesses from Kyrgyzstan and India procured more than 400 thousand kilograms of different types of cotton yarn during Monday trades at the State Commodity and Raw Materials Exchange of Turkmenistan.

The Kyrgyz business purchased 40 thousand kg of cotton yarn produced at the enterprise of the Ministry of Textile Industry of Turkmenistan for $152 thousand, the SCRMET announced on Tuesday.

The company from India signed a deal for the procurement of 360 thousand kg of unbleached two-layer cotton yarn for weaving production. The total amount of production amounted to 18.4 million manats.

Last week, the total amount of transactions concluded in foreign currency at the auctions of the State Commodity and Raw Materials Exchange of Turkmenistan exceeded $23.1 million.

Established in 1994, the SCRMET is the main body regulating export-import operations in Turkmenistan.
