The total amount of non-cash transactions via bank cards in Turkmenistan from January to May 2022 exceeded 4.95 billion manats. According to the Central Bank's Banking Automation Department, the total volume of non-cash payments made through terminals during the period exceeded 4.61 billion manats.
According to the Central Bank of Turkmenistan, the number of payments made in the period from January to May 2022 through the Digital Commerce system exceeded 225.85 million manats, and over 4.33 million manats through the Mobile Bank system.
At the same time, the total amount of non-cash payments made through ATMs exceeded 95.52 million manats and 514.82 thousand manats through the Internet Bank system.
In addition, according to the bank, more than 11.18 million manats of non-cash payments were carried out through the Halkbank Terminal system.
As of June 1, 2022, the total amount of loans allocated by credit institutions of Turkmenistan to enterprises, organizations and population in national currency totaled 82.458 billion manats, which is 13.5% more compared to the same period of 2021. Back then, the loans issued by banks totaled 72.649 billion manats.
