Turkmenistan Honors Memory of Late Shinzo Abe
The prayers were offered for Shinzo Abe followed by kurbanlyk-sadaqa meal.

The memory of late Shinzo Abe, the former Prime Minister of Japan, was honored in Turkmenistan on Monday with the holding of kurbanlyk-sadaqah meal at Arkadag hotel in Ashgabat. The sadaqah was given by Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, the Chairman of Halk Maslakhaty chamber of Turkmen bicameral parliament Milli Gengesh, on behalf of the President Serdar Berdimuhamedov.

The event gathered members of the Turkmen Government, heads of the country's military and law enforcement agencies, representatives of diplomatic missions accredited in Turkmenistan and international organizations, the official Turkmen media reports.

Speaking at the event, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov said Shinzo Abe occupied a special place among prominent politicians and statesmen, had great authority in the international arena.

As the head of the Government of Japan, Shinzo Abe devoted his whole life to serving the interests of his country, Berdimuhamedov stated, adding that he has made a worthy contribution to the strengthening and development of mutually beneficial cooperation between Turkmenistan and Japan.

The people of Turkmenistan, together with the Japanese people, are experiencing this heavy loss and will keep the bright memory of this remarkable person in their hearts, the Halk Maslakhaty Chairman emphasized.

Then, the event participants honored the memory of the late Japanese premier with a minute of silence. Afterward, the prayers were offered for Shinzo Abe followed by kurbanlyk-sadaqa meal.

During the event, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov appealed to the Ambassador of Japan to Turkmenistan with a request to convey deep condolences to Emperor Naruhito, Prime Minister Fumio Kishida on behalf of the Head of Turkmenistan.

He also asked to convey sincere words of empathy and support to the family of Shinzo Abe personally on his own behalf and on behalf of his family.

On Friday, President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov sent a message of condolences to the Emperor of Japan Naruhito and the Prime Minister of Japan Fumio Kishida due to tragic death of former Shinzo Abe.
