The state-run natural gas producer of Turkmenistan Türkmengaz (Turkmen Gas) State Concern received industrial flow of natural gas from Sherepli field in the country’s Mary province.
The flow was obtained by Türkmengazburawlaýyş (Turkmen Gas Drilling) Department of the concern at a depth of 2,330 meters from the production-appraisal well No.1 of the field, the Press Service of the Turkmenbashi Complex of Oil Refineries reported on Thursday.
The daily flow rate of the well is 695 thousand cubic meters of natural gas. The main characteristic feature of the natural gas flow of the new underground field is the absence of hydrogen sulfide in its composition, according to the report.
The Department will start drilling production-appraisal well No.2 in the Sherepli gas field in the coming days.
The drillers also continue drilling works at the new gas fields Kelleli and Yylan in the Mary province.
