A group of Turkmen pilgrims who performed the Hajj to Mecca and Medina during Eid al-Adha has safely returned home, the official media of Turkmenistan reported on Friday.
The pilgrims visited the resting places of the Prophet Muhammad (SAW), and his companions, mosques and other holy places.
They also performed the rituals of Hajj in Mecca, visited the main holy places of Muslims, such as the Zamzam well and the Al-Haram mosque, where they took part in the rite of circumambulation of the Holy Kaaba.
On the eve of the major holiday in Islam, 275 Turkmen citizens from the provinces and the city of Ashgabat took a special flight organized by the Türkmehowaýollary (Turkmen Airlines) Agency in accordance with the Decree of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, where they joined numerous pilgrims who came from all over the world for Hajj.
